LaZteo Project

The Galician dairy sector returns to the future to launch this innovative project with two main objectives: to mitigate the environmental impact of this industry in #Galicia and to speed up its digitalization.

Innogando, together with Cooperativa Agraria Provincial de A Coruña SCG (Bico de Xeado), PORTO MUIÑOS S.L., ELMEGA, S.L., Alternative Fats and Proteins of Galicia S.L.U. (Alfaprogal) and Cartogalicia S.L. collaborate to implement Smart Farming and develop sustainable agro-livestock practices in the production of Galician Milk.

This project receives funding from the Axencia Galega de Innovación and the Instituto Galego de Promoción Económica, and is supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Galicia ERDF 2021-2027 Program.

Company Talent Funds

Innogando has benefited from the Bonos Talento Empresa for the realization of short-term training projects. This procedure is co-financed by the European Union, within the framework of the ESF+ Galicia 2021-2027 operational program. Policy objective 4: “A more social and inclusive Europe through the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights”, so that the employed workers participating in the training projects of the beneficiary entities improve their skills.

Milkchain

Subsidized by the Axencia Galega de Innovación – Co-financed with FEDER funds.

Currently, the 3 Annual Programs have been completed with the achievement of 100% of the objectives initially foreseen in the project:

Research on the different enabling technologies applied to the value chain in its different critical points. Companies Involved: Leche Río, Innogando, Proymaes, Himikode (ITG subcontractor).

OG2 Evaluation and improvement of these technologies by developing pilot validations among SMEs, research centers and in the tractor company. Companies involved: Leche Río, Innogando, Proymaes, Himikode (ITG and USC subcontractor).

OG3 Develop a comprehensive turnkey service that allows control over the impact on the value chain of the dairy industry including devices for continuous data capture, artificial vision solutions, artificial intelligence, machine learning and blockchain aimed at a digital certification of traceability, and an application aimed at giving value to the data processed at the end customer and distributor. Companies Involved: Leche Río, Innogando, Himikode (ITG subcontractor).

More specifically:

Computer vision models have been developed to detect in the different lines of the factory if the labeling of the bottles being packaged corresponds to the executed order. By means of a system of 2 cameras, one for each production line, it is possible to check the quality of the packaging and count the bottles in real time. The integration of QR printing at the end of the pilot line has been developed.

The integration of all data sources that allow monitoring the quality of milk, as well as the digitization of all internal processes that factory workers perform in their daily work with respect to quality, has been carried out. In addition, we have designed the information to be stored in a blockchain that will allow users to have traceability from the farm to the table of bottled milk.

The final application has been developed for the different agents involved (consumer, livestock, industry) connected in real time to the monitoring platform.

All software solutions implemented and integrated with other external systems (Ligal, Cegacol, Aemet) have been deployed in a system in the cloud of Leche Rio, allowing accessibility of such information 24/7, in this integrated monitoring platform was made the implementation of predictive algorithms on the information offering Leche Rio a competitive advantage to anticipate the needs of factory.

Milktelillence

Milktelligence addresses the dairy industry’s need to improve productivity through data collection, sensorization and visualization of key indicators for the dairy industry. Therefore, this project will bring important advances in stock control in dairy farms, will allow the organization of the supply by the company, as well as to relate the feed in poor condition with the productive performance.

This initiative aims to design, develop and validate a new collaborative platform for the primary and secondary sectors that allows, through the design of specific dashboards, agile decision making based on criteria to maximize production performance, animal health and product quality.

Milktelligence is a strategic project promoted by the Galician Food Cluster (Clusaga), involving two technology companies (PS Vet DairyQuality and Innogando) and three food companies (GALACTEUM, Feiraco and Cooperativa Agraria Provincial de A Coruña); and funded under the support program for AEIs of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism. Its overall objective is to promote competitiveness and the transition to digital leadership in the dairy sector.

Specific objectives of the project:

  1. Analyze the needs of dairy farms based on the strategy and market of dairy industries.
  2. Define and install the sensor system for data collection in the selected farms.
  3. Develop a data collection and analytics platform.
  4. Establish the KPIs of interest for dairy farms and create dashboards using BI for visualization.
  5. Validate the performance and applicability of dashboards on dairy farms and correct possible deviations.

This initiative aims to design, develop and validate a new collaborative platform for the primary and secondary sectors that allows, through the design of specific dashboards, agile decision making.
